Aerial lifts are commonly used devices that provide temporary access for people or equipment in hard-to- reach areas, usually overhead. Aerial lifts have replaced ladders and scaffolding on many jobsites due to their mobility and flexibility. But this equipment can be hazardous to both operators and employees working nearby. Common hazards include falls, ejection from the platform, electrocution from exposed wires and power lines, collapsing structures, and falling objects.
