Scaffolds in Construction

This training program provides adequate information on Scaffolds in Construction.

The PowerPoint slide show and related materials are designed to provide employees who erect, disassemble, move, repair, operate, maintain, or inspect scaffolds with an introductory overview of scaffold safety.

When the training is completed, trainees who use scaffolds at construction sites will be able to:

  • Understand the nature of scaffold hazards
  • Identify major types of scaffolds and their use
  • Erect, move, operate, inspect, and maintain a scaffold
  • Implement safe work practices, use fall protection, and protect workers from falling objects

This training does not apply to crane or derrick-suspended work platforms or aerial lifts. These types of work platforms and personnel lifts are covered by OSHA under different regulations
