Warehouse Safety

Warehouses are busy environments, with many different activities going on at the same time. Warehouse workers are therefore exposed to a variety of hazards, including back injuries from heavy lifting, run-ins with forklifts and other hazardous equipment, slips and trips, and sometimes, hazards of the materials themselves.

Perhaps one of the greatest dangers is lack of awareness. Many warehouse workers may not think of their jobs as particularly hazardous. Especially new employees may be unaware of all the safety hazards they could encounter during the workday.

Because of the risks involved in warehouse work, employees must be trained to recognize a variety of hazards and take appropriate action to protect them- selves from accidents and injuries.

This training program provides adequate information on Warehouse Safety.

When the training is completed, trainees will be able to

  • Identify warehouse hazards.
  • Prevent back injuries.
  • Work safely with material-handling equipment.
